About Our Heritage

Christian history, in the First Century, was strictly and properly Baptist history, although the word Baptist, as a distinctive appellation was not then known. How could it be? How was it possible to call any Christians Baptist Christians, when all were Baptists?
William Cathcart, The Baptist Encyclopedia, 1881, p. 286.

As its name suggests, Heritage Baptist Church is a local congregation of like-mined believers desiring to convey the historic Baptist distinctiveness as an expression of the New Testament church set in a modern context. Our doctrines are consistent with the Baptist Faith & Message (2000). This is demonstrated by a reverent worshipful God-centered approach to everything we do.
